Voxbit

What it does

Voxbit sits in the menu bar with a small recording pill. Hold the hotkey, say what you're thinking, and it transcribes and formats the result according to a profile you pick, then delivers it by pasting into whatever app has focus, whether that's an editor, a chat window, or a note. It keeps a history of everything you've dictated, so past sessions stay searchable instead of disappearing the moment you let go of the key.

Profiles and notes

Different profiles shape the same raw speech into different outputs, so a quick thought and a structured note don't need two different tools. Notes saved through Voxbit stay available as context for AI, which turns a stream of "word vomit" into something a later session can actually use.

Why it exists

Typing is the bottleneck for most of what I want to get out of my head and into a document. Voxbit removes the step between having a thought and having it captured somewhere useful, with the formatting decision handled automatically instead of left for later cleanup.
