What it does
The old homepage was a conventional grid: a project list, a bio, links. The redesign replaces that landing experience with an interactive canvas backed by a retrieval-augmented chat, so a visitor can ask a direct question, pick a prompt based on what brought them there (AI systems, conversion and UX, a specific case study, hiring), and get an answer pulled from a real knowledge base instead of a static paragraph. The original project grid didn't go away, it moved to /work as a straightforward archive.
Why it exists
A portfolio's job is to answer the specific question a specific visitor showed up with, and a fixed page can only do that in the most general terms. Making the homepage conversational lets it do the same job a good first conversation would: ask what someone's looking for, then actually answer it.
